In a UN report of women’s rights it was noted that Turkey now tops the US and Europe in the number of cases of deliberate injuries to women.  The Turkish government doesn’t seem to be making enough steps to change the culture of violence against women.  Low percentages of women in the workforce reflect that “family integrity” is still valued higher than woman’s individual rights.
